Not Monday. Never was Monday. Was always Tuesday. Apparently my brain added an extra day into the week between Friday and Monday, to make Monday the 18th *this* time.
So Deeds of Youth comes live as an e-book on TUESDAY, which really is the 18th, and that’s when the Print on Demand pb can also be ordered.
I’m very sorry I screwed that up. The logical question is “Don’t you ever look at the calendar?” and the answer is Yes. Every day last week I looked at the calendar to be sure I didn’t get the date of the library event wrong. Copperas Cove Library had left the June calendar up without showing the July one, and I then looked up the July calendar online, but looking for the 14th. Yeah. Already convinced Book Birthday was the Monday, not the Tuesday. It’s weird because I remember thinking toward the end of June it was the Wednesday, so looked…and decided it was Monday. Even though it’s not.
I’m very sorry to have misled everyone. It was careless of me, at the least. At the most, some of those neurons stored upstairs above my eyeballs aren’t doing their job. They will hear from Management! Fines! Pay cuts! Punitive….no, never mind. Punishing a brain that’s been bashed multiple times isn’t a great idea.
This happens to the best of us or if you will the worst of us me all the time this is despite the time and date staring me in the face allday everyday. Looking forward to Deeds of Youth droping just after Midnight.
Got the download. I look forward to finding out where I can order the pb version. 🙂 Lovely stories, thank you.
POD version should be available online now. It will take longer to get to booksellers because, according to my editor, such books propagate to Ingram (the supplier for most brick-and-mortar places) more slowly than to e-markets that also do POD. IF I understood what she said.
I ordered the print edition. When I searched for it the Kindle version showed up, but changing the search to “books” then the ability to order a print copy showed up. I like to hold books in my hands. I’ve been reading the Legacy series again while I wait. I’m in Crown and Dorrin is about to confront the old mages.
Hoo boy! Dorrin is NOT what they expected. I’m still trying to figure out whether the pent-up power she’d not used for years had anything to do with the overall return of magery, or if not, what triggered it. I don’t see how a Knight-Commander shutting down one person’s talent could affect so many others over the years, esp. since the bad Verrakai kept right on (probably but not certainly Liart’s influence) but the rest…is a mystery, as the guy kept saying in Shakespeare in Love.
Deeds of Youth arrived! Wonderful stories; but you leave me wanting more. Every single story.
I had pre ordered the book on my kindle, then didn’t remember till the next morning. Finished reading it this morning, enjoyed it enormously. Favourite story on first read is ” Gifts”. Thanks for another wonderful book.
Thank you for letting me know. “Gifts” is one of those stories that surprised me as I wrote it, more than once. I love it when stories do that to me.
YES! Just now back from a 10-day vacation trip with middle two grandchildren. Checked my Kindle account for “Deeds of Youth” and there it is!
Work on a quilt-in-progress has come to a screeching halt. Off to the reading bench…hee…hee…hee!
