Crawling Toward Better…

Yes, the revisions Editor requested are coming along.  No, they’re not coming along as fast as I wanted them to, and the multiple layers of difficulties that have slowed them are not all my fault.   Some are, if you consider accidentally misjudging the amount of heat and exercise the old body could handle my fault.   Others aren’t, I swear on fifteen stacks of various manuscripts.  Other things need doing besides writing, alas–official things with official return addresses on official letters, for instance.  Power outages.

But…coming along.    New beginning.  Some useful changes as far as I’ve gotten. Some things to ask questions about.  All normal.  Just slower than I want to get it done, but lacking the health/energy/ focus to work longer on any given day.

It will get done.

  1. It is frustrating not having the energy or stamina to do as much as you used to be able to achieve. I hope no more outside things demand your attention and that your power flows.

    1. Yeah–only thing to do is keep slogging along. The outside things are stacked up like planes at O’Hare or DFW or Atlanta at the busiest times…all want my attention and action NOW. “Do the next thing” sometimes conflicts with “Do the right thing,” but…one foot after another.

  2. Hope your summer isn’t as horrific as ours was…. you’d be well and truly excused for not doing ANYTHING

Take a leaf from the United playbook and throws those rowdy passengers off the plane…

Well, more seriously, hope things settle down in the non-writing side and you can relax and let the mental juices flow so you can listen to the story in your head without a nagging voice breaking in telling you other things need doing.
